This traditional travel box is made from enameled metal and fitted with a finger loop for a secure grip while painting in plein air. Inside, there's plenty of white mixing space, plus a genuine sable travel brush (pull the tip out of the handle, reverse it, and reassemble — now you have a mini brush, ready to paint!)
The twelve colors selected for this set represent the best of Royal Talens' granulating watercolor pigments. Granulating colors create natural texture, forming little pockets of gathered pigment and settling into darker and lighter areas of color. This effect happens naturally with certain pigments, like ultramarine and carbon black, and it can be enhanced through mixtures and additives.
In this set, you'll find 12 intensely granulating colors: 230 Dusk Yellow, 234 Raw Sienna, 373 Dusk Pink, 410 Greenish Umber, 503 French Ultramarine, 507 Ultramarine Violet, 534 Cerulean Blue, 539 Cobalt Violet, 616 Viridian, 629 Green Earth, 630 Dusk Green, and 682 Cobalt Turquoise Green. Because of the inclusion of so many cobalt pigments, this is an extra-special assortment for watercolor connoisseurs.

How quickly will my order ship?
Our St. Louis warehouse team is pretty speedy! We generally ship orders within one business day of receiving them. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order's packed and out the door.

Do you accept returns?
Yes — we accept returns of unopened, undamaged items within 30 days of receipt.
