Retro51 Tornado Mechanical Pencils are all-metal, twist-advance, extra-bold mechanical pencils that accept 1.15 mm leads. Like that unusual lead size, this style of mechanical pencil is all but extinct in the contemporary market. 1.15 mm is wider than the leads in almost all mechanical pencils, and it's narrower than the leads in almost all lead holders for drawing. So, it's a nice in-between size that works for bold writing or precise drawing.

Don't try to click the back of your Tornado — nothing will happen and you will feel slightly silly. Instead, twist the knurled ring at the back to advance or retract the lead. You can dial in the exact length you prefer with Tornado's precise mechanism.

Each Tornado Pencil is equipped with a metal slip, great for attaching your pencil to pockets or bags and highly unlikely to break in this lifetime. There's a large, high-quality eraser at the back of the pencil. Pull out the eraser to insert a new lead in the pencil.

Comes with a Retro51 tube (random design), a set of replacement erasers, and a set of replacement leads. Made in Taiwan.
